Just blocks away from the Dana-Thomas House is a jewel box of a library created by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was commissioned by Susan Lawrence Dana in 1905 as a tribute to her father, Rheuna Lawrence, once president of the Springfield School Board. The library, located on the second floor of the Lawrence Education Center, was restored in 1992 and contains information about Frank Lloyd Wright. It is still a working library, serving the students taking high school diploma and adult education classes at the Center. Visitors who require the platform lift must request assistance via the intercom when they arrive.
