The pew used by Abraham Lincoln and family has a place of honor in the vestibule of the First Presbyterian Church, a block north of the Lincoln Home Visitors Center. This church, purchased in 1876, replaced the building at Washington and Third where the Lincolns worshipped. However, the funeral of Mary Lincoln, who remained a church member, was held here in 1882. The sanctuary, which has seven Louis Comfort Tiffany windows, is frequently used for live music performances. Not only is there wheelchair access but also an assistive listening system.
