This outdoor amphitheatre, which seats 500 persons, is located on the hill behind the Visitors Center at Lincoln's New Salem. Performances are held Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from early June to late August. A series of musicals, dramas and comedies is offered each season, some with a local theme. The amphitheater has integrated wheelchair seating in the front row as well as numerous spaces behind the last row. Those using manual wheelchairs may need assistance to and from the lower level seating and concession stand due to the sidewalk slope.
